Delegate Brian J. Feldman, both an Attorney and CPA, serves as Chairman of the House Subcommittee on Banking, Economic Development, Science and Technology, House Chairman of the Joint Committee on Technology Oversight, and Chairman of the Montgomery County House Delegation in the General Assembly.

In 2005, Delegate Feldman was named by the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) as its nationwide “State Legislator of the Year” for introducing and gaining passage of Maryland’s Biotechnology Investment Incentive Act. Brian has received numerous other honors and awards for his work in the legislature, including the Leadership Award from the University of Maryland Biotechnology Institute, the Semmes, Bowen and Semmes Legislator of the Year award, the Service Station Dealers Charles L. Binstead Industry Achievement Award, the Maryland Association of CPAs Chair Award, and the Maryland League of Korean Americans Public Service Award.

Prior to being elected in 2002, Delegate Feldman was a senior trial attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice where he was a three-time recipient of the Justice Department’s Outstanding Attorney Award. He currently works as an attorney in private practice at a Washington D.C. law firm and teaches a graduate course in state policymaking and federalism at Johns Hopkins University.

Delegate Feldman received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Penn State University, a Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, and a Masters Degree in Government from Johns Hopkins University.
